The remains of a water boat on the beach of Whalers Bay, Deception Island stands testament to the whaling history in the Antarctic region. Water boats were used to bring freshwater from the land to the whaling ships anchored in the bay. Neptune's Window (the gap between the cliffs) and the trail leading to it are seen in the background.
